Cambridge 24th September 2015   BlueCreation's advanced Bluetooth Smart and Dual Mode Audio Bluetooth module BC127 and BC118 have today been granted Japan (JRF) and Korea P.R. This is for porting MiniStak-Data and a customer specific platform and OS.

MiniStak is the smallest dual mode Bluetooth protocol stack available in the market today. Ministak is a C code implementation and requires 32kbytes Flash and 4kbytes of RAM for Classic Bluetooth SPP and Bluetooth Low Energy (GAT) connections. MiniStak also support an IAP connection for customers who are Apple MFI licensees. MiniStak Port deliverable is MiniStak pre-ported on the Hardware platform selected by the customer. MiniStak includes Melody Android, Melody iOS and Melody Smart as part of the deliverable.

MiniStak: HID Demo

 Demonstration showing how to connect and use MiniStak HID using a Bluetooth enabled keyboard. 

MiniStak: SPP Demo

Demonstration of how to connect and use MiniStak over SPP with an Android smartphone running Melody Android. 

MiniStak: Running over USB

 This demo shows MiniStak controlling a USB dongle. In the demo, we use a Windows7 PC and dual mode USB dongle (BLE and Classic Bluetooth). Ministak then runs an A2DP/AVRCP connection, an SPP connection and a BLE connection at the same time.

MiniStak: A2DP and AVRCP Demo

This demo shows Ministak running the A2DP/AVRCP and receiving music from a Smart Phone. The AVRCP is shown with examples o Pause and Play.

MiniStak 3.0: HFP-AG feature

 This is a short demo showing Ministak running HFP-AG. Ministak is running on a PC under Windows7 and is connecting to a standard headset using HFP-AG. 

Ministak 3.0: New HFP feature

Ministak 3.0 includes now HFP. The total size of Ministak is now 36kFlash and 4kRAM. This includes HFP, SPP, BLE and IAP. This video shows Ministak in action with HFP working.

MiniStak Multi-connection

This is a short demo showing how Ministak can connect to multiple devices using the Serial Protocol Profile (SPP) and receiving data and echoing back these characters to them. In this demo, we connected Ministak to 3 devices: An Android tablet, an Android phone and a Windows PC. We used the Melody Android Application to show the characters sent and received.

MiniStak: original demo

This is the original demo of Ministak running on a TI MSP430 and a CSR8811 Bluetooth chip. It demonstrates a Classic Bluetooth with the Serial Protocol Profile (SPP) and a Bluetooth Low Energy example such as the battery level indicator.
